Utah State University Eastern
With efficiency, innovation, and excellence, Utah State University Eastern prepares the people who create and sustain our region.
Utah State University Eastern's main campus is located in Price, Utah, approximately 125 miles southeast of Salt Lake City. Price is in the heart of Utah's Castle Country. Residents and visitors have the opportunity to experience beautiful scenery and varied outdoor activities, from world-class bouldering in Joe's Valley to river rafting in the Green River to many hiking and biking trails in the area.
Because USU Eastern is comprehensive regional campus of Utah State University, USU Eastern students have the best of both worlds - the close-knit, personalized experience of a community college with the educational opportunities and resources of a university. Students who attend USU Eastern enjoy a low-cost tuition, nearly half the cost of most four-year universities. Also, USU Eastern continues to be open admission. This translates into major cash savings without sacrificing university credibility. USU Eastern continues as a residential campus with on-campus housing, student associations, clubs, and leadership opportunities, as well as National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) sports opportunities.
Founded in 1976, the Utah State University Eastern Blanding Campus opens doors for residents in Utah’s remote southeast corner, including Native Americans in the Four-Corner region. It is a college campus small enough to keep students from getting lost in the crowd but with connections large enough to offer them endless possibilities. It is a stepping stone from high school to college and on to a successful career.
The Blanding campus also supports many learning centers in the Four-Corners area, providing educational access to dozens of sites in a service region of more than 40,000 square miles, half of which are in tribal lands.
