Criminal Justice: AS
An Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to begin a career in a criminal justice career as well as all of the general education requirements needed to transfer to a university program.
Criminal Justice offers students a wide variety of career paths in such areas as law enforcement, courts, criminalistics (crime labs and investigations), law, juvenile law and corrections.
The degree requires students have a substantial understanding of the criminal justice system in general. It reflects the realities and concerns of society and draws from a wide variety of academic disciplines such as political science, psychology, history and sociology.
