This endorsement is issued by the Utah Board of Education. Courses are provided by USU School of Teacher Education and Leadership.
The Elementary Mathematics Endorsement Program in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership in the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services is a unique program designed to strengthen K-8 classroom teachers’ knowledge of mathematics content and assessment. The 18-credit endorsement program includes six three-credit courses designed to improve mathematical knowledge for teaching at the elementary level.
The program is designed for working professionals, with courses offered in the evenings and summers. Courses are offered on a regular schedule so that students can complete the endorsement in two years. Courses in the endorsement are currently offered through the Regional Campuses and Distance Education broadcast network. Additional courses can be offered on-site at school locations in collaboration with school districts.
The Elementary Mathematics Endorsement Program is a graduate program for individuals who already possess an undergraduate degree.
This degree is offered through Utah State University Regional Campuses and follows the USU Regional Campus tuition schedule. See Tuition & Payment for more information.
The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education & Human Services may charge differential tuition for this program. Differential tuition is an added cost per credit for courses in the program. See the last page in the USU Tuition & Fee schedule for more information.
