The Central Instruction Building Project is a key to the future of USU Eastern and to future economic and educational vitality and opportunity for Southeast Utah.
The project includes replacing the circa 1938 SAC Building, the 1964 Music Building and refurbishing the iconic Geary Theater. (See the Geary Theatre Challenge for more information.)
The new Central Instruction Building will house all of the Arts programs on campus as well as Communications, Criminal Justice and much needed generic classroom and student space.
The new building will complete the rejuvenation of the campus infrastructure and will provide a magnificent entrance to our beautiful campus.
We Need Your Help!
The total project will cost $20,000,000.00. The Utah State Legislature has invested $500,000.00 as seed money for the programming and architectural design of the building. In order for us to present this as a shovel–ready project in next year’s legislative session, we will need to raise an additional $800,000.00.
We feel confident that the Legislature will fund the rest next year.
