The Physics department at USU Eastern is dedicated to providing quality undergraduate instruction in physics that prepares students for transfer to 4 year institutions in the science, technology, engineering, and medical fields.

Earn an Associate Degree with an emphasis in Physics

Students interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in physics can begin their studies at USU Eastern. The Physics Program offers the student the opportunity to earn an Associate Degree and fulfill prerequisite and elective courses.

Associate  Associate Degree requirements

Students will be challenged in their coursework in ways to develop mathematical maturity, develop problem solving techniques that will help students in their chosen careers and realize that science and specifically physics is present in almost every aspect of the world around them.

In addition to providing courses to prepare students for a degree in physics students can complete one of the following courses in the Physics department to meet their Breadth Physical Science requirement. 

PHYS 1010 - Elementary Physics
PHYS 1040 - Introduction to Astronomy
