Native American-Serving Nontribal Institutions Program
The USU Eastern - Blanding Campus NASNTI project has been designed to support U.S. Department of Education – Goal 3 established in response to the Government Performance and Results Act of 1993: “Ensure the accessibility, affordability, and accountability of higher education, and better prepare students and adults for employment and future learning. The NASNTI team committed to focusing their attention to plan, undertake, and carry out activities to improve and expand the institution’s capacity to serve Native American students.
The project focuses on three goals that are coordinated to promote cultural awareness in context of the learning environment for Native American college students. In addition, the project will provide greater access to and understanding of the college system for the parents of disadvantaged and first generation students. The programming in the project is directed toward the majority (Native American) of the students on the Blanding Campus.
