USU Eastern Advisor Named Advisor of the Year

Liz Prettyman

The Utah Advising Association named their advisor of the year for the state. The five finalists were nominated by their colleagues for the amazing work they did in the advising realm over the past year. Amazingly, three of the five finalists were Utah State University employees. But, even more exciting that that, was that our very own Liz Prettyman was named the UAA Advisor of the Year!

Liz has led the transformation of our advising office in Price over the last year. She has helped transition into a One-Stop service center, has led the implementation of mandatory freshman advising, has taken advisors to all areas of the campus in an effort to make advisors more visible, has helped build pathways for our students and so much more – all while completing her Masters Degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University.

In short, the statewide advising community now knows what we have known all along – Liz is in a class all her own.
Please join me in congratulating an amazing recognition for a year (and many years) that has been full of achievements. Congratulations Liz!
