Annual Student Art Show
The Annual Juried Student Art Show will be on display from April 15 through April 26 at Gallery East. The exhibit is open to all USU Eastern students and all art forms. Both two- and three-dimensional works are accepted, including oil painting, drawing, graphic arts, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and ceramics. “We encourage entries of all media,” says gallery director Noel Carmack. “As long as they’re equipped with a wire or some way to display them, we want to see as many noteworthy pieces entered in the show as possible.” Awards will be given for the most deserving entries. Winning submissions will be given cash equivalent awards. Entry forms will be made available at the Gallery. Entries can be submitted April 4-5, 8-10 at Gallery East.
“The work in this year’s exhibit really shows the impressive skills our students possess,” says Carmack. “We have exceptional students in all areas: Drawing and painting, photography, sculpture, and ceramics. Viewers will see the mastery of all the media we teach on this campus. This year’s crop of art students are fabulous.”
The student art show will be exhibited at Gallery East from April 15 through April 26, 2019. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, April 26 from 6 – 7 PM. Students, family, and interested public are welcome to attend. The gallery is free and open to the public during the academic year.
